Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026. The current version of this policy and its last-updated date always appear on this page.
1. What this policy covers
Blitters Pty Ltd, ABN 93 603 718 789, trading as Blitters (we, us or our), operates blitters.com. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through our website, member registration, member accounts and related enquiries.
Separate privacy notices may apply to particular Blitters products and services. Where we process information on behalf of a business customer, the applicable service agreement and privacy notice explain those arrangements.
2. Information we collect
What we collect depends on how you use the site — browsing, registering as a member, contacting us, or taking part in a program.
Member registration details: Your first name, last name if provided, email address, country and mobile number if provided. The registration form shown on our website makes the mobile number optional, and mobile numbers are stored in international format.
Account and preference records: Your member/contact identifier, account status, registration and update dates, email and SMS marketing preferences, and associated consent dates and source where recorded.
Authenticated account data: Once you verify your email address, your member profile is linked to your authenticated account. You may subsequently set a password through our authentication service.
Enquiries and correspondence: If you contact us, we collect your enquiry and correspondence, together with the contact and business details you provide.
Program participation: If you participate in a program, we may also hold enrolment and participation information needed to provide it. Any additional collection will be explained when you enrol.
Technical and security logs: Our website infrastructure may record your IP address, browser and device information, pages requested, access times and error or security logs. For signup protection we record information such as your IP address, browser user-agent, submission time and whether the submission succeeded.
We collect information directly from you when you complete a form or contact us, and through the website technologies described below. You can browse public pages without registering.
We need an email address and the required registration details to create and authenticate your member account. If you do not provide information needed for a particular request, we may be unable to fulfil it.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information through general enquiry forms unless we specifically request it through an appropriate process.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to run the site, support member accounts, and respond to the things you ask us for.
Create and manage member accounts and verify email addresses. Send requested sign-in and account-recovery messages. Manage program access and deliver requested services. Respond to enquiries and resolve technical issues. Operate and secure the website and prevent abuse. Maintain business records and meet legal obligations.
4. Email and SMS marketing
If you opt in, we use the relevant contact details to send the updates, tips or offers described by that choice. You can change either preference from your member account, use the unsubscribe method in the message, or contact us. Creating an account or supplying a mobile number does not by itself subscribe you to marketing.
A new signup with unticked boxes does not withdraw consent you previously gave. To withdraw existing consent, update your account preferences or use an unsubscribe method. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop messages needed to authenticate you, secure your account or provide a service you requested.
We use or disclose information for other purposes only where you have consented or applicable law permits or requires it.
5. Cookies
We use authentication cookies to maintain member sign-in sessions and recognise your account when you access member features. We may also use analytics or other third-party technologies on the website; where we do, they are subject to the providers' own terms and to the controls described below.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect features that depend on them. Where the website provides additional preference controls, you can use those controls to manage optional technologies.
6. Who we share information with
We share information with staff and service providers who need it for the purposes described in this policy. These may include website hosting, form handling, customer relationship management, email delivery, IT support and professional advisers, to the extent we use those services.
Our website and member features are provided through BOS Design, whose membership implementation uses Supabase for authentication and member data storage. We also use other service providers for functions such as email delivery, analytics and IT support, consistent with the purposes described in this policy.
We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law, or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Where information may be handled:
Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Australia. Where information is disclosed overseas, we take the steps required by applicable privacy law to protect it. If you would like details about where your information is held, please contact us using the details below.
7. Security and retention
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information against misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including legal and record-keeping requirements. When it is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or de-identify it, subject to applicable legal requirements.
8. Access, correction and choices
Your options for seeing, correcting and limiting the information we hold.
Requesting access to your information: You can contact us to request access to personal information we hold about you. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Correcting your information: You can ask us to correct inaccurate, incomplete or out-of-date information. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain the reason and available complaint options, subject to applicable law.
Withdrawing marketing consent: You can withdraw marketing consent at any time through your member account preferences, the unsubscribe method in a message, or by contacting us.
Requesting deletion: You may request deletion of your information. We will consider the request subject to legal obligations and any legitimate need to retain it.
